Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs use of the Mapwright website and managed cloud. It protects the Service, our customers, and third parties. Capitalized terms have the meaning in our Terms of Service.

2. Prohibited activities

You may not use the Service to:

  • break the law or facilitate unlawful activity;
  • infringe intellectual-property rights or misappropriate trade secrets;
  • violate privacy or data-protection rights;
  • engage in fraud, deception, or impersonation, or send spam or unsolicited messages;
  • harass, threaten, or harm others, or promote violence or hate.

3. Security & network abuse

You may not:

  • access or attempt to access accounts, data or systems without authorization;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service except under our disclosure program (see our Security page);
  • circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, metering or authentication;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, including via denial-of-service, excessive load, or distribution of malware;
  • reverse-engineer the Service except as expressly permitted by the applicable license.

4. Content restrictions

You are responsible for the customer content and data sources you use with the Service, and for having the rights to use them. You may not upload or serve content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious, or that you lack the rights to use. Map data carries its own license obligations — see Terms §18 (Map data & attribution).

5. High-risk uses

Geocoding, routing and other results may be inaccurate or incomplete. You may not rely on the Service as the sole means of safety where failure could lead to death, personal injury, or severe environmental or property damage (e.g. emergency response, autonomous navigation) without independent verification and appropriate safeguards.

6. Resource & fair use

Use must stay within your plan’s limits and must not place an undue burden on the Service or degrade it for others. We may apply reasonable fair-use limits and ask you to upgrade for sustained high usage.

7. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, throttle, suspend or terminate access, with or without notice depending on severity, and report unlawful activity to authorities. We aim to act proportionately.

8. Reporting abuse

Report suspected abuse or violations to abuse@mapwright.io. For security vulnerabilities, follow our responsible disclosure process.

9. Changes

We may update this AUP; we will post the new effective date here. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
